Looking for a sheep breed that does NOT need shearing for a small irrigated block in Kurow.
Grateful for any help please.

I have Dorpers and they are a great choice. Very docile and don't require a lot on maintenance. They like Dry well drained soil.

We have lush grass which is fairly long - is it suitable for the Dorper breed? I understand they have a tendency to have foot problems?
Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.
Cheers

I don't pretend to be an expert but damp ground may not be the best for Dorpers. My ground is dry and firm and have had no issues.

5 acres, Ferguson 35X and implements, Hanmay pto shredder, BMW Z3, Countax ride on mower, chooks, Dorper and Wiltshire sheep. Bosky wood burning central heating stove and radiators. Retro caravan. Growing our own food and preserving it. Small vineyard, crap wine. :)
