Best driveway material to use?

Been looking at asphalt millings, been told it compacts well and sticks together over time.
we have a steep section at the start of the drive and it slowly washes away with the rain and we loose a bit over time.
looking at other options, but its expensive to get a fresh truckload of gravel delivered from the quarry.
Looks like recycled crushed concrete is a far cheaper option, but the asphalt millings sound like a good idea if it will hold up for longer.

Part of my driveway is fairly steep and its drainage system is not the best,
hence regardless of what I used (gravel, lime mixed, asphalt) heavy rain will wear and wash them down over time.

On the other part of the driveway where water drains away from the driveway, I found lime mixed hold the best.
