Do you strip some leaves from your strawberry plants throughout the growing season?
Some of ours have been growing so vigorously that we have done so fortnightly in order to find the berries, and now that it rains a bit, to reduce the chance of rot.
Is this normal or could it be an effect from the probably nitrogen-rich nutrient mix they get, being in the septic dispersal field?
They are huge plants compared to the ones I remember from years ago, so maybe it is the recent varieties are bigger and more vigorous.

Won't hurt to thin leaves, I think it is a season thing as ours are the same this season.
Thanks. I'll keep stripping while they are still growing quickly.
