I have just been given a lot of broccoli. Now yes I know it does freeze, but I was wondering if you can do can preserve it in other ways, cauliflower I know pickles well, but I don't think broccoli would.

Ideas please.

Can be pureed into a pesto-like concoction (with chilli etc), fridged or freezered in small pots, throw a tablespoon or two into pasta, rice, cheese sauce, mac/cheese recipes, spread on toast under grilled cheese. < insert 'drool' emoticon >

It's not denial. I'm just selective about the reality I accept. ;)

Second that lindee.............combine garlic, sweated broccoli, splodge of cream and parmesan as another concept on the pesto thing.
